Instructions for using SPH-300/SPH-500 hydrogen generator:
1. Prepare electrolyte
The degreasing cotton in the storage tank cover is used to absorb residual alkali solution during transportation. Please remove the degreasing cotton after adding electrolyte.
Bottle the spare partsTake out KOH (about 200g, analytical grade) and pour it all into a beaker. Dissolve it in 500ml of distilled water, cool it down, and pour it into a storage tank. Then add distilled water to the upper limit water level.
Notes:
Please prepare the electrolyte with distilled water or purified water, and avoid using tap water or mineral water. In useKOH is not consumed, please add water directly when the liquid level drops to avoid repeated alkali addition. If the solution is not clear or there are abnormalities during use, the solution can be replaced. It is necessary to pour out all the internal solution of the instrument in advance and then re prepare the KOH solution.
The water consumption and hydrogen production of the instrument are directly related. Consumption without considering evaporation 1ml of water produces 1000ml of hydrogen gas, so in case of abnormal situations such as gas leakage or water shortage, please stop the machine for maintenance in a timely manner.
It is recommended to regularly observe the water level and pay attention to airtightness before continuous operation. It is not recommended to use continuously if there are abnormalities.
The nominal flow rate of the instrument is Z large gas production rate, and it cannot be used for a long time at Z large flow rate. It is recommended that the gas consumption should not exceed Z large gas production rate 1/2, otherwise it will affect the gas purity and the lifespan of the electrolytic cell.
2. Self inspection
After the installation, relocation, and maintenance of the instrument, it is recommended to reconfirm the overall condition, including airtightness, through self inspection. Firstly, seal the air outlet of the instrument with a sealing nut, confirm that the water level is normal, and then turn on the machine.
The flow rate is displayed as the nominal Z large flow rate (approximately 300, 500, etc.), the pressure gauge pointer slowly rises to 0.4MPa (SPH-200 is 0.3MPa) within 5 minutes. After reaching the working pressure, the flow rate display slowly decreases to 0, which is considered to be a normal self-test. The instrument performance and airtightness are both good.
3. Connect the gas path
The spare parts provide the necessary sealing gaskets and nuts for connecting the air circuit, while the air circuit needs to be prepared by oneself and can be usedThe air path is about 3mm in diameter, and the material of the pipeline is not limited. If plastic hoses are used, it is recommended to install lining pipes before connecting to prevent deformation and blockage of the pipeline.
