Working Principle:

Proximity switch N08-M18-CSA6H (cement casting component)It belongs to a position sensor with switch output, which consists of an LC high-frequency oscillator and an amplification processing circuit. It uses a metal object to generate eddy currents inside the object when it approaches the oscillation induction head that can generate an electromagnetic field. This eddy current reacts on the proximity switch, causing the oscillation ability of the proximity switch to decay, and the parameters of the internal circuit to change, thereby identifying whether a metal object is approaching and controlling the on or off of the switch. The object that this proximity switch can detect must be a metal object.

Selection of proximity switches:

1. Selection of proximity switch types

Inductive type is the first choice for detecting metals, capacitive type is preferred for detecting non metals, and magnetic proximity switches are selected for detecting magnetic signals.

2. Selection of appearance for proximity switches

Generally, cylindrical thread shapes are commonly used, and can be selected according to actual needs.

According to the needs, the manufacturer's manual usually indicates the detection distance.

4. Signal output selection

The AC proximity switch outputs an AC signal, while the DC proximity switch outputs a DC signal. Special attention: The current of the load must be less than the output current of the proximity switch, otherwise a conversion circuit should be added.

5. Selection of Switching Frequency

Switching frequency refers to the number of times a proximity switch switches from "on" to "off" per second. DC proximity switches can reach 200Hz, while AC proximity switches can only reach 25Hz.
