Measurement principle of VM-3000

The sample gas is introduced into an optical sample cell through a maintenance free diaphragm pump. The UV beam irradiates the sample cell, and some of the ultraviolet light is absorbed by the mercury atoms in the sample. This method is called "Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy", abbreviated as AAS. This method has high selectivity and sensitivity. Compared with other early methods of mercury measurement, AAS method has its own advantages and importance. AAS method has low interference, does not require the step of adding mercury amalgam, and does not require expensive carrier gas.

VM-3000 Analysis Performance

VM-3000 uses a high-frequency driven infinitely low pressure mercury lamp as the ultraviolet light source. This type of lamp emits light with an extremely narrow bandwidth, which is in phase with the absorption spectrum of Hg atoms, thereby minimizing the factors that affect sensitivity. The UV light source in VM-3000 adopts a reference beam feedback control method, therefore it has * stability. The total background noise is below 0.1 µ g/m ³.
