What is the pyroelectric effect?
When the temperature changes, the macroscopic polarization of the material will undergo changes, causing the shielding charges on the material surface to lose balance. Excess shielding charges are released to form a detectable current, known as the pyroelectric effect.
How to measure the pyroelectric effect?
1. Pre polarization: Apply voltage to both ends of the sample while cooling to the required temperature;
2. Measure current: Remove the voltage at both ends of the sample, connect an electrostatic meter, and increase the temperature at a fixed rate while monitoring the current of the electrostatic meter. Changes in polarizationmaximumAt the temperature, the current shows a peak. Integrating the current over time yields the relationship between polarization and temperature.
