Overview

Fire resistant cable refers to a cable that can maintain safe operation for a certain period of time under the condition of flame combustion. The national standard GB12666.6 (equivalent to IEC331) in our country divides the fire resistance test into two levels: A and B. The flame temperature is 950~1000 ℃, and the continuous fire supply time is 90 minutes. The B-class flame temperature is 750~800 ℃, and the continuous fire supply time is 90 minutes. During the entire test period, the sample should withstand the rated voltage value specified by the product. Fire resistant cables are widely used in high-rise buildings, underground railways, underground streets, large power stations, and important industrial and mining enterprises related to fire safety and firefighting, such as power supply lines and control lines for emergency facilities such as fire equipment and emergency guide lights.

1、 Product Usage

This product is suitable for electrical equipment with a rated voltage of 10Kv and below, especially for high-temperature, flammable, fire-resistant transmission and distribution, control, alarm, and fire protection systems.

2、 Product standards

Enterprise standard, this standard is equivalent to GB/T12666.6B-2016.

3、 Working conditions

  1. The long-term allowable working temperature of conductors can be divided into different types: 70 degrees Celsius, 90 degrees Celsius, and 105 degrees Celsius.

  2. The allowable temperature of the conductor during a short circuit (5s) is not more than 160 degrees Celsius and 105 degrees Celsius.

  3. The ambient temperature during cable laying should not be lower than 0 degrees Celsius.

  4. The minimum allowable bending radius for cables is 6 times, 10 times, 12 times, and 15 times the outer diameter of the cable according to different products.

5、 Main technical performance

  1. The cable can withstand fire resistance tests and meet the requirements of GB12666.6B class. It can withstand a flame temperature of 750-800 degrees Celsius, apply 1000V voltage, burn for 90 minutes, and connect 3A fuses continuously.

  2. All materials of the cable, except for the conductor and armor, are flame-retardant, highly flame-retardant, and fire-resistant.

  3. Cable combustibility

    1) Under combustion conditions with a flame temperature of 750-800 degrees Celsius, the cable can operate normally for no less than 90 minutes.

    2) The current carrying capacity of the cable measured in the experimental environment shall not be lower than the current carrying capacity value of the corresponding model and specification under normal cable working conditions.
