1、 Product Introduction
Mining optical cable is a special application of fiber optic cable in the field of communication, specifically used in the coal mining industry as a communication optical cable. It is an optical cable used in mining occasions such as coal mines, gold mines, and iron mines. Mining optical cables not only inherit all the performance of fiber optic cables, but also add many special properties due to the special requirements of the coal mining industry. The main added properties are flame retardant and rodent proof, to ensure smooth communication and reduce losses in case of accidents.

3、 Fiber optic cable category
According to the characteristics of the transmission medium inside the optical cable - optical fiber (glass or plastic fiber), it can be divided into single-mode fiber and multi-mode fiber.
According to the characteristics of the selected optical fibers, mining optical cables are divided into single-mode optical cables and multi-mode optical cables.
Single mode (B): Refers to a conductor (commonly known as glass fiber) that transmits only one wavelength (frequency) in the medium (usually silicon dioxide, i.e. glass) and is slightly thicker than a human hair. Based on the characteristics of other components of the medium, the inconsistency in optical transmission performance is caused. Single mode fiber is further divided into B1.1 (non dispersion shifted single-mode fiber ITU-T G652) and B4 (non-zero dispersion shifted single-mode fiber ITU-T G655). The wavelengths that can generally be used are 1310nm or 1550nm, and the main single-mode fiber used is B1.1, sometimes referred to as B.
Multimode A1 (ITU-T G651): Refers to a conductor slightly thicker than a human hair that can simultaneously transmit multiple wavelengths (frequencies) in the medium (single-mode). Multimode optical fibers are further divided into A1a (50/125) and A1b (62.5/125) and collectively referred to as ITU-T G651. Generally, long wavelengths used include 1310nm or 850nm.
Regarding fiber optic transmission distance: Generally, it can reach up to 120km in single-mode transmission, and 2km in multi-mode transmission. Therefore, multi-mode transmission is generally used indoors
Or jumper cables, single-mode ones are used in the field for long-distance transmission.
