The Baumer level sensor LBFS-01111.0 is designed for level detection in storage tanks, medium separation, as well as empty pipe detection or pump idle protection. The sensor probe emits high-frequency scanning signals into the storage tank. The medium forms a capacitor with the probe and the metal can wall or metal installation accessories. When the scanning frequency is the same as the capacitor frequency, resonance occurs and a switch point signal is output. The capacitor frequency depends on the dielectric constant (DK) of the medium. Provide two output signals: normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC). In the case of medium level fluctuations (such as during tank filling), the FlexProgrammer 9701 handheld controller can be used to adjust the signal damping time. In addition, the normally open and normally closed output signals can be reversed. High measurement accuracy and not affected by the installation position inside the tank. In Flex software, different compensation values can be set for foam, bubble, condensate and viscous medium.

An electrode integrated into the sensor probe forms a capacitor together with the surrounding environment. The dielectric constant (DK value) determines the capacitance value. Generate a resonant circuit with the coil in the sensor electronic circuit. Activate the level switch based on the measured resonant frequency and the flexibly adjustable alarm range.

This sensor can be installed at any position on the container.

The sensor (1) installed above the container can prevent overflow. The sensor installed below can detecttall(2) Or low (3) level. The sensor (4) installed at the bottom of the container or on the discharge pipe can prevent the pump from idling.

Please make sure it is level with the inner surface of the container.

>The roughness of the weld seam needs to be treated to Ra<0.8 µ m.

>The leak detection hole is facing downwards.

>Screw in the sensor.

Tightening torque: 10... 15 Nm

>The welding and installation of welding sockets and adapters must comply with the requirements of the hygiene industry

Please make sure it is level with the inner surface of the container.

>The roughness of the weld seam needs to be treated to Ra<0.8 µ m

>The leak detection hole is facing downwards.

>The card sleeve must be in good condition (if deformed, replace two card sleeves).

>First, insert the wide card sleeve onto the probe.

>Then fit the thin card sleeve onto the probe rod.

>Insert the sensor into the soldering socket or adapter.

>Adjust the insertion length.

Adjustable length range: 15... 228 mm

>Tighten the thread.

Tightening torque: 22... 25 Nm

The Flex software also has an adjustment function, allowing users to adjust the sensor according to specific media types. The LBFS level switch can measure the liquid level of liquid media such as water and oil, as well as the level of dry solid media such as coal dust or plastic particles. The LBFS level switch can be equipped with PNP output and NPN output. The sealing of process connections is very simple and can be achieved using PTFE tape or special welded joints (for sanitary applications).
