Purpose:MQ-501 photosynthetically active radiation measuring instrumentUsing AM-001 to install the sensor on the reading meter is easy to carry and measure, with a cable length of approximately 0.17m. The new generation of optical quantum probes has a better spectral response range, covering a spectral range of 389nm~692nm (± 5nm), with a range of 4000 μ mol/m2/s, significantly improving its measurement accuracy for LED light sources and better meeting the measurement needs of natural and artificial light sources. The full spectrum sensor uses blue enhanced silicon photodiodes and customized optical filters, a sturdy self-cleaning housing design, and an anodized aluminum body with an acrylic diffuser. The MQ-501 can be used for measuring light quantum flux density (PPFD) in natural environments, greenhouses, and artificial climate chambers, as well as for reflection or transmission PPFD measurements under tree crowns in the same environment.
Attention: Handheld instruments are not waterproof, only sensors and cables are waterproof.

MQ-501 has data recording function and can record 99 manual measurement data. In automatic mode, the measuring instrument will measure every 30 seconds and store the average value every 30 minutes. At the same time, it can also calculate the mean of daily data and store up to 99 daily averages. Its built-in display screen allows you to obtain measurement data in a timely manner. Through the AC-100 data cable, you can easily import the data stored in the measuring instrument into the computer. In daily use, radiation entering the sensor at low angles is often reflected, resulting in underestimation of the value. Therefore, Apogee's radiation sensor adopts an arc-shaped top design, which can receive more low angle incident radiation and reduce cosine response errors.
