The comprehensive industrial ring main unit power protection device integrates protection and control, and can meet the requirements of customers for the safe operation and reliability of power energy in power systems with voltage levels of 20KV and below. Currently widely used in power distribution systems such as substations, industrial and mining enterprises, hospitals, schools, commercial squares, and large buildings. The protection device adopts advanced, mature and reliable protection principles and algorithms, with strong anti-interference performance, high reliability, flexible protection implementation methods, and redundant communication design. The device has 8 channels of switch quantity acquisition and 5 channels of relay output, which can be connected to Acrel-2000Z

Function of comprehensive industrial ring main unit power protection device

1. Fault detection and isolation

  • Short circuit protection: Real time monitoring of current through a current transformer (CT). When the current exceeds the set threshold (such as 10 times the rated current), the circuit breaker will trip within 0.1 seconds.

  • Ground fault protection: detects zero sequence current (residual current), locates single-phase ground faults (commonly found in cable insulation damage), and isolates the fault area.

  • Overload protection: Based on thermal relays or electronic protectors, when the load current continues to exceed 120% of the rated value, the circuit will be delayed and cut off (usually 10-30 seconds).

2. Enhanced system stability

  • Voltage protection: Monitor abnormal voltage (such as undervoltage ≤ 85% Un, overvoltage ≥ 115% Un) to prevent equipment damage.

  • Frequency protection: When the power grid frequency fluctuates (such as ± 5Hz), activate the backup power supply or isolate the faulty section.

  • Inverse time protection: The larger the fault current, the shorter the trip time (such as 1 second for 2 times the current and 0.2 seconds for 5 times the current).

3. Intelligence and communication capabilities

  • Telemetry function: Real time uploading of current, voltage, power factor and other data to the dispatch center.

  • Remote signaling function: Upload signals such as circuit breaker opening and closing status, fault type, etc.

  • Self diagnostic function: detect faults in the protective device itself (such as CT disconnection, power supply abnormality), and issue alarm signals.
