Introduction to METRAHIT IM XTRA

METRAHIT IM XTRA&METRAHIT IM E-DRIVE is a portable and extremely sturdy multimeter designed specifically for on-site use. It is suitable for maintenance, repair, and diagnosis of motors, drive devices, and systems, such as in the automotive industry, power energy, and automation fields. The integrated instrument includes all measurement functions of TRMS digital multimeter, insulation resistance measurement function, milliohmmeter with 4-wire measurement technology, and coil short-circuit tester. Therefore, it is highly suitable for safety testing and diagnosis of electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as all types of motors.

Interturn short circuit test

Perform surge testing within the inductance range of 10 μ H to 50 mH (100 Hz) in conjunction with the optional coil testing adapter.

Suitable for motors that comply with DIN standards, with a rated power of approximately 15 kVA to 80 MVA.

A universal three-phase adapter for medium rated power motors is currently being prepared.

Milliohm measurement

■Kelvin connection for 4-wire milliohm measurement, compensating for the effects caused by cable and contact resistance, which must be eliminated when measuring very small resistances. The measurement current can be set to 200 mA or 1A. The measurement of contact resistance, such as the contact resistance of welded and riveted joints, is carried out in potential bonding tests such as aircraft shell discharge brushes and fuel tanks. According to UN ECE R100 and GB/T18384, the measurement of potential balance is carried out in hybrid and electric vehicles.
