The maintenance of a dual cylinder diesel generator can be carried out according to the following steps: -
Daily inspection and maintenance
-
Pre-start inspectionBefore each start-up, it is necessary to confirm the lubricating oil level, coolant level, air filter status, radiator ventilation, transmission belt tightness, fuel supply, and battery connection status.
-
Monitoring during operationCheck the operating parameters (such as water temperature, oil pressure, voltage, etc.) every 6-8 hours, and conduct a re inspection after the standby unit is shut down.
-
Daily cleaningClean the dust and debris on the surface of the generator set, and ensure smooth smoke exhaust and air intake and exhaust.
-
Regular replacement and cleaning
-
Engine oil and filter:
- The new unit needs to have its oil and filter replaced within 50 hours or 3 months of operation (break in period).
- Replace the engine oil, oil filter, diesel filter, and water filter every 200 hours of operation or 6 months (whichever comes first).
-
air filter:
- Check every two weeks during operation, and shorten the cycle if the usage environment is harsh (such as dusty).
- Regularly clean the filter element and replace it immediately when the differential pressure indicator turns red.
-
cooling system:
- Check the coolant level every 200 hours of operation, and replenish the same brand of coolant if it is insufficient.
- Regularly clean the radiator to prevent blockage, and use antifreeze in cold regions.
-
Key component maintenance
-
Belt inspectionCheck the tension of the fan belt and charger belt every 100 hours of operation, and adjust or replace them if necessary.
-
Battery maintenance:
- Keep the battery fully charged, and regularly check the electrolyte density and liquid level for wet batteries.
- Clean the battery terminals and connecting wires to prevent corrosion.
-
fuel system:
- Regularly drain accumulated water and sediment from the fuel tank and filter to prevent fuel pollution.
- If the fuel is not used for a long time (such as 3-6 months), it needs to be tested or polished.
-
Professional level deep maintenance
-
Quarterly maintenance (600 hours)Check the axial clearance of the turbocharger (standard 0.06-0.08mm), adjust the valve clearance in the cold state (intake 0.35mm/exhaust 0.40mm).
-
annual maintenance:
- Use a wireless endoscope to detect cylinder liner wear (wear>0.15mm requires honing treatment).
- Staged load testing (50% -110% rated power), capture voltage waveform with oscilloscope (check AVR module when distortion>3%).
- The backup unit should undergo comprehensive maintenance at least once a year, including changing the engine oil.
