Overview

Kuntai Heavy Industry B5020 Small Insertion Machine is a linear motion machine tool that uses the vertical reciprocating motion of a cutting tool to insert keyways and holes. Like planers, slotting machines also use single blade cutting tools (slotting tools) to cut workpieces, but planers have a horizontal layout and slotting machines have a vertical layout. The productivity and accuracy of the cutting machine are relatively low, and it is mostly used for processing inner hole keyways or flower key holes in single or small batch production. It can also process flat, square or polygonal holes, and is often replaced by a lathe in batch production. But when processing keyway holes with no holes or obstructed shoulders, the only option is to use a lathe. The main types of bed inserts are ordinary bed inserts, keyway bed inserts, and gantry bed inserts

It can also process flat, square or polygonal holes, and is often replaced by a lathe in batch production. But when processing keyway holes with no holes or obstructed shoulders, the only option is to use a lathe. There are several types of bed inserts, including regular bed inserts, keyway bed inserts, gantry bed inserts, and mobile bed inserts. The slide pillow of a regular lathe moves up and down along the guide rail of the column with a tool holder, and the worktable with workpieces can use the up and down slide seats for longitudinal, transverse, and rotary feed movements. The worktable of the keyway insertion machine is integrated with the bed body, and the tool rod extending upward from the bed body through the workpiece hole performs up and down reciprocating motion with the insertion edge, while performing intermittent feed motion. The workpiece installation is not restricted by the column like ordinary insertion machines, so it is mostly used for machining keyway in large parts (such as propellers) holes.
