High lift sludge screw pump
Basic principle of screw pump: The screw pump is a positive displacement rotary pump, which mainly relies on the volume change and movement of the meshing space formed between the pump body and the screw to transport liquid or pressurize the liquid, as can be seen from the above figure. Screw pumps are divided into single screw pumps, twin-screw pumps, and triple screw pumps according to the number of screws. When the active screw rotates, it drives the engaged driven screw to rotate together, and the volume of the screw engagement space at one end of the suction chamber gradually increases, resulting in a decrease in pressure. The liquid enters the meshing space volume under the action of pressure difference. When the volume increases to form a sealed chamber, the liquid continuously moves axially in each sealed chamber until it is discharged from one end of the chamber. At this point, the volume of the screw engagement space at one end of the discharge chamber gradually decreases, and the liquid is discharged. The working principle of a screw pump is similar to that of a gear pump, except that screws replace gears in the structure. There are two types of pumps: single suction and double suction, but single screw pumps only have single suction. The pump must be equipped with a safety valve (single screw pump does not need to be equipped) to prevent damage to the pump or prime mover due to reasons such as blockage of the discharge pipe causing the outlet pressure of the pump to exceed the allowable value.
Working characteristics of screw pump: simple structure, safe and reliable operation, easy use and maintenance, continuous and uniform liquid discharge, stable pressure, low noise and vibration, self-priming ability, but screw processing is difficult.
Suitable occasions for screw pumps:
① Transporting lubricating oil, transporting fuel, transporting various oils and polymers, suitable for transporting viscous liquids.
② Transporting high viscosity media: Depending on the size of the pump, media with viscosity ranging from 37000-200000 centipedes can be transported.
③ Transport media containing particles or fibers: The particle diameter can be up to 30mm (not exceeding the rotor eccentricity). The fiber length can be 350mm (equivalent to the pitch of a 0.4-liter rotor). Its content can generally reach 40% of the medium cellar, and if the solid matter in the medium is in the form of fine powder, it can also be transported with a content of up to 60% or higher.
④ When stable conveying pressure is required and the inherent structure of the medium is not damaged, it is ideal to use a single screw pump for conveying.
