The drip test device is a testing equipment used to test the surface wettability of materials. The device mainly consists of a vertically suspended glass tube and an adjustable height dropper head. During testing, place the material to be tested flat under the glass tube, and then use a dropper to drop a certain amount of water droplets onto the surface of the material. By observing the sliding and dripping speed of water droplets on the surface of the material, the wetting performance of the material surface can be determined.

Drip test deviceIntroduction:

It is a testing device used to test the surface wettability of materials. The device mainly consists of a vertically suspended glass tube and an adjustable height dropper head. During testing, place the material to be tested flat under the glass tube, and then use a dropper to drop a certain amount of water droplets onto the surface of the material. By observing the sliding and dripping speed of water droplets on the surface of the material, the wetting performance of the material surface can be determined.


This device is widely used in industries such as textiles, leather, coatings, ceramics, and electronics, and is one of the commonly used methods for evaluating the surface wettability of materials.

Designed and manufactured according to GB4208-2008 standard, applied for waterproof testing of drip proof and splash proof appliances (products). The device is suitable for testing when the second characteristic number of the shell protection level is 1 or 2.

Test principle:

Controlling rainfall through a rotor flowmeter, IPX1 rainfall is 1mm/min; IPX2 is 3mm/min. The size of the rain board depends on the size of the test sample, and the side length dimensions of the rain board are generally 200mm, 600mm, 800mm, and 1000mm.

Drip test method:

IPX1: represents vertical dripping, vertical dripping has no effect, water flow rate is 1mm/min, test for 10 minutes;

IPX2: 15 degree drip. When the vertical surfaces of the shell are tilted within a range of 15 degrees, the vertical drip should have no harmful effects. The water flow rate is 3mm/min, and each tilted position takes 2.5min.
