Overview

Aggregate solidity tester (also known as stability tester). Robustness refers to the performance of aggregates that do not undergo significant damage or strength reduction after being soaked and dried multiple times in a saturated sodium sulfate solution. It is an important indicator for describing the frost resistance of aggregates. The instrument complies with the requirements of JTG E42-2005 Highway Engineering Aggregate Testing Regulations

Scope of Application

Robustness refers to the performance of aggregates that do not undergo significant damage or strength reduction after multiple soaking and drying in saturated solutions. It is an important indicator for describing the frost resistance of aggregates.

Experiments have shown that for the same rock, when it is rolled into fragments or gravel, the rolling process destroys the original state of the rock, resulting in lower frost resistance of the aggregate compared to the original state of the rock. Therefore, in addition to testing the strength of the original rock, the strength of the rolled aggregate should also be tested.

2.1 Oven: capable of controlling the temperature at 105 ℃± 5 ℃.

2.2 Balance: Weigh 5kg with a sensitivity not exceeding 1g.

2.3 Standard sieve: Select according to Table 1 based on the particle size of the sample.

Note: In the sample with a particle size range of 10mm to 20mm (or 9.5mm to 19mm), there should be 40% particles in the 10mm to 16mm (or 9.5mm to 16mm) particle size range and 60% particles in the 16mm to 20mm (or 16mm to 19mm) particle size range; ② In the sample with a particle size range of 20mm to 40mm (19mm to 37.5mm), there should be 40% particles with a particle size range of 20mm to 31.5mm (19mm to 31.5mm) and 60% particles with a particle size range of 31.5mm to 40mm (31.5mm to 37.5mm).

2.4 Container: Enamel basin or porcelain jar.

2.5 Three legged mesh basket: The outer diameter of the mesh basket is 100mm, the height is 150mm, and it is made of stainless steel wire with a hole diameter not exceeding 2.36mm; When inspecting particles between 40mm and 80mm, a mesh basket with an outer diameter and height of 250mm should be used.
