The vacuum environment of the vacuum drying oven reduces the boiling point of the liquid, which can not only be applied to thermosensitive substances, but also effectively shorten the drying time. For samples with complex structures, using a vacuum drying oven after cleaning will result in more efficient drying. In a vacuum or inert gas filled environment, the possibility of oxides exploding when exposed to heat can be avoided.
The vacuum drying oven must be evacuated first and then heated:
A vacuum drying oven can extract gases from the material. If the material is heated first, the gases in the material will expand when heated. Due to the excellent sealing of the vacuum box, the enormous pressure generated by the expanding gas may cause the tempered glass of the observation window to burst, which is a potential danger.
Moreover, the heated air inside the vacuum box will be extracted by the vacuum pump, and the heat will be conducted to the vacuum pump, resulting in a high temperature rise of the vacuum pump and a possible decrease in its efficiency. The heated gas will be conducted to the vacuum pressure gauge. If the temperature exceeds the operating temperature range specified by the vacuum pressure gauge, it may cause indication errors in the vacuum pressure gauge.
So the correct way to use it is to first evacuate the vacuum drying oven and then heat it up. When the rated temperature is reached, if the vacuum degree of the vacuum oven decreases, it should be appropriately evacuated.
