The transition from traditional PFI intake injection to GDI direct injection is a breakthrough in the combustion system, involving multiple extreme requirements such as in cylinder flow, combustion, reliability, control strategy, etc. For Longxin General Motors, it is a new technology "no man's land".

  Power Enhancement: Integrated Design of Efficient Combustion System
The team focuses on the two core components of cylinder head and piston to carry out collaborative innovation of combustion system. Optimize the structure of the cylinder head intake duct and the shape of the combustion chamber, increase the tumble ratio, improve fuel air mixing, and reduce fuel wet wall, etc; Simulate and optimize the design of piston structure, and accurately match it to ensure optimal coordination between fuel injection and combustion chamber, providing core support for high power.

  High speed breakthrough:The leap from automotive technology to motorcycle demand
The automotive GDI system is difficult to directly adapt to the high-speed requirements of motorcycles. The team innovatively adopted a side mounted fuel injector and spark plug top mounted structure at a certain angle, independently designed a high-pressure fuel rail, optimized the fuel injector and injection parameters, and enabled the GDI system to maintain stable and accurate injection at high speeds of 10000rpm and above, achieving a major breakthrough in working condition adaptation.

  Compact integration: solving the problem of space migration
In response to the limited space of motorcycle engines, the team has arranged side mounted fuel injectors to effectively reduce the overall size of the machine and leave sufficient installation space for related components; Simultaneously integrating the intake cam and high-pressure oil pump cam, streamlining the structure and breaking down spatial barriers.

  High reliability: Full dimensional CAE simulation provides support and protection
Relying on CAE technology, the team conducted a comprehensive reliability analysis of engine components, covering core dimensions such as structural strength, fatigue life, and thermal load. In the design phase, risks were identified and optimized in advance, effectively shortening the testing cycle and reducing costs, providing a solid guarantee for the stable operation of GDI engines under strict working conditions.

  Cross disciplinary Journey: A 6-Month Battle of Overcoming Difficulties
Research and Development
After the project was launched, all staff entered a state of tackling difficulties, working day and night, refining the process to the next day, and establishing a collaborative mechanism with various links of the company to achieve efficient cooperation throughout the entire chain of sample procurement, installation and commissioning, and scheme review, in order to seize the construction period with a "one game" approach.
Breaking through hardcore technology is not an easy task. From research and demonstration, initial layout, scheme design and locking, to sample production, prototype assembly, parameter debugging, etc., the team faces unprecedented challenges throughout the entire process. With pressure, there is motivation. The team takes CAE as the main driving force to promote the deep integration of design and simulation, and integrates data exchange and iterative optimization design from multiple professional dimensions to avoid R&D detours.
Hard work pays off. On March 20, 2026, the first prototype was first tested and successfully ignited in one go. It took only 6 months from project launch to successful ignition. This is not only a remarkable achievement of the technical research team's self-improvement, but also a vivid witness of the New Longxin people's determination to overcome difficulties and work hard.
