Recently, the Hohhot branch of China Agricultural Machinery Academy was approved for three major science and technology projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, deepening the cultivation of agricultural and animal husbandry equipment and ecological governance, and empowering the high-quality development of Inner Mongolia's agriculture and animal husbandry industry; Researcher Wang Ruijun has been appointed as the Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Laser Extreme Manufacturing for Difficult to Process Materials in Zhejiang Province, driving industrial transformation through technological innovation and serving rural revitalization.
  Successfully approved three major science and technology projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
Recently, the Hohhot branch of China Agricultural Machinery Academy was successfully approved for three major science and technology projects in the autonomous region (leading one and participating in two), fully demonstrating the scientific research responsibility of Hohhot branch in serving the major development strategies of the autonomous region.
The approved project focuses on the core research areas of high-quality semi dry harvesting and storage of forage grass, mechanized production of sunflowers, precise prevention and control of sand hazards in major linear engineering projects, and vegetation reconstruction in Hohhot Branch. It accurately matches the development plan of key industries in agriculture, animal husbandry, and ecological governance in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is an important support for Hohhot Branch to deeply implement the "1571" work deployment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and systematically promote the construction of an organized scientific research system.
Next, the Hohhot branch will closely focus on the urgent needs of improving the quality and upgrading of industries and independently tackling core technologies in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, consolidate project responsibilities, refine and improve work measures, strictly implement refined management throughout the project cycle, accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies and research and development of complete sets of equipment, accelerate the industrialization and application of scientific research results, empower regional high-quality development with technological innovation, and contribute scientific and technological innovation to the construction of the autonomous region's scientific and technological innovation system, industrial transformation and upgrading, and rural revitalization.
  Wang Ruijun was appointed as the Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Laser Extreme Manufacturing for Difficult to Process Materials in Zhejiang Province
Recently, researcher Wang Ruijun from the New Materials Institute of China Agricultural Machinery Academy was invited to attend the first working meeting of the Zhejiang Province Key Laboratory of Laser Extreme Manufacturing for Difficult to Process Materials, and was appointed as the director of the academic committee of the key laboratory. The members of this academic committee are composed of CAE Member, the full-time chief model designer of China Aviation Development Group, and well-known experts from China Aerospace Group, AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Group, China North Industries Group, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Dalian University of Technology, South China Normal University, Zhejiang Metallurgical Research Institute, Lanjian Aerospace, Zhejiang Yatong New Materials and other units. Li Lin, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK, presented a letter of appointment to researcher Wang Ruijun on behalf of the Key Laboratory.
The team of researchers led by Wang Ruijun has been collaborating with the laser processing research team of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences for many years, and has achieved results in the development of laser additive/subtractive/equi material processing technology and equipment for irregular and difficult to process materials. The two parties have jointly developed low-cost laser cladding equipment and laser micro texture processing equipment, and the wear-resistant coating prepared has been applied to the harvesting and chopping tools of agricultural machinery developed by the Institute of New Materials.
The Key Laboratory of Laser Extreme Manufacturing for Difficult to Process Materials in Zhejiang Province is a laboratory officially approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province in 2025. The center relies on the Laser Extreme Manufacturing Research Center of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is committed to the development of new mechanisms, processing methods, and equipment for laser material interaction. It undertakes major national and local competitive tasks and provides solid support for basic research and key technological breakthroughs in laser extreme manufacturing and processing.
