Logging chainsaw during logging
Date: 2015-06-08Read: 40

Logging chainsaws are probably not unfamiliar to everyone, especially since they have been seen in animated films. So let's really get to know them.

When using a logging chainsaw, be sure to hold it firmly with both hands and the handle behind it with your right hand, even for left-handed individuals; When starting the homework, the throttle of the chainsaw should be turned to the maximum and then the clamp should be tightened; Clamp clamping is very important, otherwise the chainsaw will pull people forward. Always pay attention to the surrounding environment and work calmly and soberly; When working on a slope, users must stand at the top or side of the tree trunk. Pay attention to the rolling of trees and prevent the risk of tripping over tree stumps, branches, and ditches. When sawing trees with fragments, be careful as the wood chips that split apart during sawing can pose a danger; Special attention should be paid to the natural inclination direction of trees, with lush branches. Pay attention to the wind direction and force, and do not cut down trees when the wind is too strong; A distance of 2.5 times the length of the felled trees must be maintained between work to ensure that logging does not endanger the safety of others.

During logging, some loggers attach great importance to cutting trees with larger diameters and underestimate trees with smaller diameters. When cutting large trees, they follow the logging operation procedures and dare not be careless. But when cutting down small trees, they don't pay much attention to it. Sometimes they don't even saw the thorns (big trowel), which is very dangerous. There are many examples of accidents caused by underestimating small trees during logging. This is because the trunk of a small tree is light in weight and has low pressure, so it changes direction when encountering a little resistance before the tree falls. It has high sensitivity and is either turning back or swinging left and right towards the roots, which is very dangerous. Therefore, when felling small trees, it is also necessary to follow the logging operation procedures in order to ensure safety.

When using a chainsaw, it is not allowed to work indoors in a sealed or poorly ventilated environment, even if the chainsaw is equipped with a catalytic muffler for exhaust gas. Such an environment is highly likely to cause poisoning; When logging, do not stand on the trunk to saw, and do not saw hanging branches from below.

Logging chainsaws have a certain degree of danger and a high probability of accidents. Therefore, in order to ensure safety, it is crucial to focus on the safety of chainsaw logging operations. Before carrying out forest logging operations, it is necessary to inspect, maintain, and repair the chainsaw, carefully take care of and use it, and pay attention to safety during logging at all times. Safe logging should be firmly remembered. If abnormal trees are found during the logging process, certain safety measures must be taken before logging, and the practice of valuing large trees over small ones should be avoided. Operations should be carried out in accordance with the forestry production safety technical regulations.

When logging, loggers must take preventive measures against deformed and strange trees, such as bent and twisted trees, double bodied trees, "baby hugging" trees, crooked neck trees, etc. Before logging, loggers must first observe the shape and characteristics of the tree in detail, determine which adverse safety factors are likely to occur after the tree falls, and then proceed with sawing after formulating safe, reliable, and feasible safety measures. If there is no confidence in safety production or it is not conducive to safety production, do not cut down. After taking necessary safety measures, cut down again.

Lumbering chainsaws are mainly used for pruning branches, tree felling, forestry logging, timber making and pruning, garden pruning, tree felling, wood processing, and forest firefighting.
