How to maintain the automatic mixing submersible pump
Date: 2025-10-20Read: 0
The maintenance of the automatic mixing submersible pump needs to be carried out systematically from multiple aspects such as installation operation, sealing inspection, lubrication replacement, rust prevention treatment, electrical safety, abnormal handling, storage and maintenance. The specific maintenance points are as follows:

1、 Installation and operation specifications

  1. Vertical liftingThe pump body should be upright in the water, with a depth of not less than 0.5 meters, to avoid horizontal placement or getting stuck in sediment, and to prevent impeller blockage or motor overheating.
  2. Lifting methodWhen placing or lifting the earring into or out of the water surface, a special rope must be used to hold it. It is strictly prohibited to pull the cable or water outlet pipe to prevent cable damage or loose joints.
  3. trial operationBefore starting, it is necessary to power on the ground and idle for 3-5 minutes to confirm that the rotation direction is correct (without abnormal noise or vibration) before putting it into the water.
  4. Water level monitoringDuring operation, it is necessary to ensure that the distance between the center of the impeller and the water surface is within 0.5-3 meters to prevent the pump body from being exposed to the water surface and causing the motor to run idle and burn out.

2、 Seal inspection and replacement

  1. routine inspectionBefore each use, check the sealing ring, oil filling screw, sealing box and other components. If any looseness is found, tighten them immediately. If the seal is not firm or aging, replace them in a timely manner.
  2. Leakage detection
    • After replacing the new pump or grinding blockCheck the oil (water) leakage after 50 hours of operation. If it exceeds 5 milliliters, replace the sealing box.
    • Regular useCheck once a month, the leakage should be less than 25 milliliters, otherwise the seal needs to be replaced.
  3. Sealing box replacementWhen disassembling, operate in sequence, keep clean during assembly, ensure the integrity of the "O" - shaped rubber seal ring, and prevent water from seeping into the interior of the motor.

3、 Lubrication and oil change

  1. Oil immersed submersible pump
    • Sealing chamber oilReplace the engine oil once after 500 hours of operation, using No. 5 or No. 10 cleaning oil.
    • Motor chamber oilReplace once a year and strictly prohibit mixing different grades of engine oil.
  2. Wet submersible pumpReplace lithium based grease after 2000 hours of continuous operation and prohibit the use of calcium based grease.
  3. bearing lubricationRegularly check the lack of oil in the bearings, and it is recommended to replace the bearings of the water filled electric pump once a year.

4、 Rust prevention and painting treatment

  1. Surface rust preventionAfter one year of use, check the corrosion of the pump body, remove the rust and apply anti rust paint to protect the metal parts.
  2. Internal rust preventionIf the motor is filled with oil inside, it usually does not need to be painted; If it is not used for a long time, it is necessary to dry the water and apply grease to prevent rust.

5、 Electrical system maintenance

  1. Insulation resistance testing
    • Hot state detectionAfter running continuously for 4-6 hours, measure the insulation resistance of the motor winding to ground with a megohmmeter, which should be greater than 0.5 megohms.
    • Stop detectionBefore restarting a pump that has been out of use for a long time, the insulation resistance needs to be checked again.
  2. Cable inspectionRegularly inspect the cables for damage or cracking, and wrap the joints with reliable insulation to prevent electric leakage or shock accidents.
  3. protective deviceEnsure that leakage protectors, thermal relays, and other devices are sensitive and reliable to avoid safety hazards caused by overload or leakage.

6、 Abnormal situation handling

  1. No water output or low water volume
    • reasonWrong steering, excessive head, clogged filter screen, and worn seal.
    • handleExchange phase sequence, replace high head pump, clean filter screen, and replace seals.
  2. The motor cannot start
    • reasonLow power supply voltage, open circuit, impeller jamming, winding burnout.
    • handleAdjust the voltage to 342~418V, investigate the cause of the circuit breaker, remove debris, and overhaul the motor.
  3. Abnormal vibration or noise
    • reasonRotor imbalance, bearing wear, and pump axis deviation.
    • handleSend to the factory for repair, replace bearings, and adjust the coaxiality of the pump.

7、 Storage and long-term maintenance

  1. Dry storageWhen the pump is not in use for a long time, lift it out of the water surface, wipe off any water stains, and hang it in a dry and ventilated room to prevent the motor from getting damp.
  2. Winter protectionBefore storing the wet submersible pump, the lubricating and cooling water inside the motor should be drained to prevent freezing and damage to the motor.
  3. Regularly startDuring seasons with low usage frequency, jog once a week to keep the impeller running smoothly.

8、 Comprehensive maintenance and testing

  1. regular maintenanceConduct a comprehensive inspection every two years, dismantle all components, clean and lubricate them, and reassemble them.
  2. pressure testAfter replacing the sealing box, use a pressure of 0.2MPa to check whether there is any air leakage on the fitting surface and sealing surface of each component to ensure the sealing performance.
  3. Load testConduct no-load current and load loss tests at rated voltage after maintenance to ensure performance meets standards.
