What are the key points of operation and maintenance for silage wrapping machine
Date: 2025-05-12Read: 4
The operation and maintenance points of silage wrapping machine are as follows:

Key Operating Points

  1. Pre-job preparation

    • site preparationA flat work site of no less than 15m x 20m is required, which is mainly divided into equipment area, material storage area, loading area, and unloading area. It is also necessary to prepare a relatively flat storage area for silage bags, which requires high terrain, no water storage in rainy weather, and no adverse factors such as puncturing or scratching the straw bundle envelope.

    • Personnel and equipment preparationThe equipment requires at least 3 operators, including 1 trained operator for wrapping and ensiling equipment, 1 operator for feeding equipment, and 1 operator for grass bundle transfer and palletizing equipment. Two types of supporting equipment are required, including one loading equipment (loader with a bucket width of about 2.5 meters) and one bundle transfer equipment (75 type clamping machine).

    • Equipment connection and inspectionAccording to the instructions, connect the ingredient bin and gas source power supply to the main control cabinet, ensuring that the connecting wires are not loose, short circuited, or short circuited; Connect the gas source connection pipe to the main pneumatic control cabinet. Open the side hood, check if the bolts are loose or falling off, inspect the tightness of the chain, check if the rotating parts such as sprockets, aluminum rollers, shafts, and bearings are damaged, if they rotate flexibly, and if there are any scratches or abrasions, and take appropriate measures; Lubricating oil and grease need to be added to the designated location.

    • test run

      • Static testing machineTurn on the power, check if all sensors are functioning properly, verify if the safety protection device, air source pressure, pneumatic working components, and other working devices are working properly, and if the film wrapping device is in its initial position; Static startup (without starting the main motor), verify whether the manual switch compartment, film wrapping, unloading and other pneumatic working components, as well as each clutch, are working properly.
      • Non material testing machineTurn on the main motor and check if the rotation direction of the main motor is correct(first timeConnect the wiring and turn on the machine. Perform a 3-5 minute run in test without any material, check the batching bin, coating mechanism, coating seat motor for any abnormal noise or movement. After stopping the machine, check for friction, high temperature, and other conditions. Only after eliminating all faults can the material test machine be debugged.
  2. work process

    • feedingCoarse feed should be stacked on the right rear side of the ingredient warehouse to facilitate the driver's operation of the feeding equipment to feed the wrapped silage equipment. When feeding, ensure that the material is loose, and the batching bin should not be too full. When feeding, try to move the material up to the rear of the batching bin as much as possible.
    • Monitor and handle exceptionsThe operator of the wrapped silage equipment should always pay attention to whether the feeding in the ingredient warehouse and bundling warehouse is smooth, whether the inner film (net) is abnormal, whether the stretch wrapping film is broken or missing, etc. If there is any abnormality, it should be dealt with immediately. If necessary, the emergency stop switch should be pressed to eliminate the fault before powering on to continue the operation. Power can only be turned on after 15 seconds of power outage and emergency stop, and normal operation can only be carried out after 15 seconds of power on.
    • Straw transportation and stackingWhen the operator of the hay bundle transportation equipment is transporting hay bundles, they should align and clamp the hay bundles firmly, while ensuring that the deformation of the hay bundles is as small as possible. During transportation and flipping, there should be no slipping or falling of the hay bundles. Straw bundles should be placed in the correct position with care and should not rub against the ground or surrounding objects to avoid scratches or damage to the package. Wraps should be stacked on higher ground to avoid water accumulation and soaking. The recommended height for wrapping and stacking is two layers, with a maximum of three layers, to avoid deformation of the lower layer of wrapping.

Maintenance points

  1. Cleaning and maintenanceRegularly clean up internal and external debris to keep the equipment clean and tidy.
  2. Lubrication and maintenanceRegularly apply lubricating oil to the "joints" such as gears and bearings to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
  3. Check fastenersBefore and after each use, check whether the screws, nuts, and other components are tightened, and promptly identify and solve problems.
  4. troubleshootingWhen encountering situations such as sudden machine malfunction or abnormal sound, calm down first and follow the troubleshooting steps in the manual to troubleshoot one by one. If you are unable to solve the problem yourself, you should promptly contact professional maintenance personnel.
  5. Regular inspection and replacement of componentsAs the usage time increases, the equipment will experience wear and tear, especially on the chain and V-belt parts. Regular comprehensive inspection and adjustment of machinery and equipment should be carried out, all transmission belts should be disassembled and wiped clean, all chains should be disassembled and cleaned, and the transmission belts and chains should be dried and stored in a dry and ventilated location. At the same time, record the model, specifications, and transmission parts of the drive belt to avoid errors during subsequent installation. In the process of cleaning the chain, diesel or kerosene needs to be used, and after draining, it needs to be heated, soaked, dipped, and coated to ensure the performance of the chain and greatly extend its service life.
