Tips for using bundling rope
Date: 2018-05-08Read: 12
As the main consumable of the most important strapping machine, there are many precautions to be taken when using strapping ropes. This article will select some typical characteristics to share, hoping to provide positive assistance to the production operations of users.
A high-quality bundling rope should consist of only one strand of polypropylene fiber. This type of rope has significant advantages in terms of softness, cross-sectional compactness, tensile strength, and nodule strength, among other important parameters. It is a bundling rope with a multi strand structure.
For example, in the figure below, a domestic brand of tying rope is composed of 5 strands of polypropylene fibers. During the tying process, there is a high probability that the knotter hook only hooks 2-3 strands, which directly results in knotting failure and may further cause damage to the knotter.

2. Soft tying ropes can produce stable and reliable knots, while harder ropes are not suitable for tying knots.
3. The output of the tying rope should be counterclockwise. A qualified tying rope should be marked with clear placement direction and can be easily pulled out from the inside of the bundle. And seeing the direction of rotation, many domestic brands of bundling ropes do not have obvious direction markings on the outside of the packaging, and the hole in the center of the bundle is also very narrow, making it difficult to determine the direction of the rope. If the rope is really placed upside down, it may produce a lot of knots, affecting the operation of the bundling machine and potentially causing serious damage to the knotter.
4. Regularly inspect all parts of the knotting system
During the operation of the baler, many components may experience friction or wear, such as the threading ring. After prolonged operation, severe wear may occur due to the friction of the baler. In this case, it is necessary to regularly inspect and replace them to avoid consequences such as rope breakage, rope jamming, or knot failure.
5. Reasonable storage of bundling ropes. If the bundling ropes are not well protected during storage and transportation, they may become unusable. At the same time, it is also possible that due to deformation of the rope bundle, the rope may collapse in the later stages of use, which inevitably leads to downtime and rope replacement.
