The maintenance measures for guide rail meters and metering meters mainly include the following aspects:
1、 Daily inspection and cleaning
Appearance inspection:
Regularly inspect the casing of the electricity meter for any damage, deformation, corrosion, or other issues.
Check if the wiring terminals of the electricity meter are secure, if the wiring is correct, and if there is any looseness or poor contact.
Check if the meter dial is clear, and if the pointers or display screen are flexible and accurate.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Wipe the meter casing with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using chemical cleaners or rinsing directly with water to prevent damage to the equipment.
For dust and debris inside the electricity meter, a soft brush or vacuum cleaner can be used to clean it after power failure.
2、 Performance testing and calibration
Functional testing:
Regularly conduct functional tests to simulate actual electricity usage and check whether the electricity meter can accurately measure and display electricity.
For smart meters, more comprehensive testing can also be conducted through their built-in testing functions or related software.
Accuracy calibration:

3、 Wiring and installation maintenance
Wiring inspection:

For wiring terminals, they should be checked for corrosion and oxidation, and if necessary, replaced in a timely manner.
Installation position inspection:
Ensure that the installation location of the electricity meter is reasonable for easy maintenance and inspection in the future.
Avoid installation in high temperature, humid or strong electromagnetic interference environments to avoid affecting equipment performance.
Check whether the installation of the electricity meter is stable, whether there is any looseness or tilting phenomenon.
4、 Environmental adaptability maintenance
Moisture proof treatment:
In humid environments, moisture-proof treatment should be done for the electricity meter, such as using a well sealed casing or placing desiccants inside.
Regularly check whether there is condensation inside the electricity meter, and if so, promptly handle it.
Dust and corrosion prevention:
Keep the installation environment of the electricity meter clean and avoid dust accumulation that affects equipment heat dissipation and performance.
For electric meters that may come into contact with corrosive gases, corresponding protective measures should be taken, such as using anti-corrosion materials or installing protective covers.
5、 Fault handling and replacement
Fault identification and handling:
When the electricity meter malfunctions, such as misoperation, refusal to operate, or inaccurate measurement, it should be identified and dealt with in a timely manner.
The causes of the malfunction may include wiring errors, equipment aging, environmental interference, etc. Corresponding measures should be taken according to the specific situation.
Equipment replacement:
When the electricity meter is severely damaged or cannot be repaired, new equipment should be replaced in a timely manner.
When replacing, choose an electric meter with the same model and specifications as the original equipment, and ensure that its performance meets the requirements.
